Regard sur la microéconomie de la corruption et son impact sur les finances publiques

Abstract : The article proposes a brief overview on corruption in the microeconomic approaches. In this litterature corruption has been considered as an isolated phenomenon during a long time. The main caracteristics and origins of the microeconomic approaches are presented. By analogy with market analysis, corruption is presented as a specific relationship between economic agents operating on a quasi-market for bribery. But, with this limited point of view, important factors determining the extent and the impact of corruption are underestimated. It is particularly the case for public finances and the impact of corruption on the budget constraint. The question of the interactions between corruption and tax evasion is essential in this respect.
