Évaluation des expositions professionnelles de la population des travailleurs en France : des outils et des méthodes.

Abstract : Assessing occupational exposures and monitoring change over time is a key activity in any public health system for occupational risk surveillance. It consists in studying, not the occurrence of diseases, but the frequency and distribution of exposures to potentially pathogen factors in the working population. This paper aims to provide a brief description of the main assessment methods of occupational exposures among all workers in France, in a population-based view. It describes the wide variety of available tools and shows how a regular collection of structured information allows the production of various useful indicators to guide and prioritize prevention actions.
