Molecular Tagging Velocimetry: experimental setup development

Abstract : A Molecular Tagging Velocimetry setup for gas flow analysis is developed. The objective is to measure the velocity profile of a gas flow through a rectangular channel. The setup and the experimental procedure are described. Two channel designs are discussed and preliminary results on fluorescence and phosphorescence of acetone molecules used as molecular tracers in a flow of argon are presented.
