Nuevas formas de hibridación de imaginarios míticos en la literatura contemporánea mexicana

Abstract : The interconnection between myth, History, and cultural production represents a highly complex system. Some specialists have employed movement metaphors in order to describe it. This article consists of a diachronic analysis of works belonging to contemporary Mexican literature: Elena Garro, Carlos Fuentes, José Emilio Pacheco (second half of the 20th century); Yuri Herrera and Alberto Chimal (21st century). We will study the permanence or variations of some mythic archetypes as well as some methods that are used to rewrite cosmogony. We will privilege an approach that puts hybridism between pre-Hispanic and classical myths at the core of the reflection. The core of this reflection will focus on the hybridism of pre-Hispanic and classical myths.
