En quoi le pronom « on » a-t-il une valeur anaphorique ? Le cas des successions d'occurrences de « on »

Abstract : When several occurrences of the French pronoun “on” succeed one another and seem to be coreferential at first sight, it is tempting to attribute them the same referent and, therefore, to construct a single coreference chain. A second and more careful reading may however shed light on the fact that coreference is not always strict. Following other annotation projects, the annotation manual of the ANR Democrat project recommends creating distinct chains. With the help of corpus examples, we show the benefits of an intermediate solution.
