ESPRIT: Overview of the Vehicles Road-Train Real-Time Architecture
Résumé
This paper deals with the communication and real-time architecture of an innovative articulated vehicle, coupled with up to seven other similar vehicles to form a road-train. The controller device was chosen powerful and flexible enough to prototype an innovative system of vehicles able to reconfigure themselves after a coupling or uncoupling process. Automotive industry standards are considered in order to benefit from existing systems. Implementation on real vehicles demonstrates performances and robustness in scenario conditions.
