Real-Time Electrical Impedance Tomography of the Human Chest by Means of a Learning-by-Examples Method

Abstract : The real-time inversion of electrical impedance tomography ( EIT ) data for human chest monitoring is dealt with. More specifically, the paper is concerned with a numerical comparative assessment of an innovative learning-by-examples method, which has been provisionally introduced and preliminarily validated by the authors, aimed at solving the inverse problem arising when estimating the status of the lungs through EIT .
