Modelling of wall damages by bubble collapse

Résumé

This paper presents a numerical study of the material deformation due to a shock-induced gas bubble collapse. Simula- tions are performed using fluid and material dynamics and their interaction. The bubble dynamics is coupled with a finite-element structure model to enable fluid/structure interaction simulations.
