Les kits pédagogiques Thymio et ErgoJr. Étude de cas lors d’une journée de formation pour un public adulte et novice en robotique.

Abstract : Since 2016, digital sciences have been gradually integrated into all French school programs. This requires having a growing number of teachers able to teach this discipline. But also, to provide them with the material resources adapted to their needs. In this context, we propose here an evaluation of the usability (via the SUS) and the user experience (via the AttrakDiff) for the Thymio and Poppy ErgoJr educational robotic kits, performed during a training in robotics with 32 adults, all novices in programming. We have seen better results for the Thymio robotic kit, which is more oriented towards this novice audience. However, the results of Thymio in this context are not significantly different from those obtained by the ErgoJr kit in 2018 in a context of repeated use in the classroom. Thus, we will discuss the respective advantages and disadvantages of these two kits.
