Sapelenin D, a New Acyclic Triterpenoid from the Stem Bark of Entandrophragma cylindricum

A novel acyclic triterpenoid, sapelenin D (1) was isolated from the stem bark of Entandrophragma cylindricum. Its full structure including absolute configuration was determined from spectroscopic data and by chemical transformation.
