Histoire de la traduction littéraire en Europe médiane

Abstract : This book, written on the basis of contributions from 26 specialists in 16 languages and literatures of central Europe, explores the founding role of translation in the formation of written literatures in Europe. For the first time, it provides a better understanding of how the circulation of translated texts has contributed over the centuries to forging a truly European polyphonic culture, a process in which this part of the continent has played a largely unknown role.
