A práxis do jornalista na área de interface da comunicação e educação

Abstract : The article presents the main results of a research that aimed to investigate the journalist’s way to work in a project of communication and education, Televisando. The main theoretical goal in the area of intervention media production concept proposed by Soares (2014) that includes programs produced by the media from educommunication parameter. The methodological tools used, forms and interviews were applied to journalists and editors of the RPC TV and the information collected were systematized following the principles of qualitative and quantitative research of the authors Alves-Mazzotti and Gewandsznajder (1999) and Santos (2009). The analysis of reports from Bardin (1977) considered the theoretical proposed by Hernandes (2006) and Soares (2011). Among the main results, despite the experience of working on the project be related to “new experiences” and “approach to school,” the journalist is not seen as an educommunication mediator. From the understanding that engagement of this professional school much depends on the corporations themselves initiative, the term journalist-educommunication, designed in the research, aims to highlight the journalist’s commitment as an agent in the process of learning and training of the subjects, as well as attenuate the dichotomy between communication and latent education in the way of doing journalism.
