Robust $H_\infty$ proportional integral observer design for actuator fault estimation

Abstract : The main contribution of this paper is the design of robust $H_\infty$ proportional-integral (PI) observers for actuator fault estimation, applied to uncertain linear time-invariant system. The observer design is based on the PI observer, combining the $H_\infty$ norm to deal with system uncertainties and disturbance attenuation. Then the application to the suspension system is presented in order to highlight the performance of the proposed estimator.
