Analyse de la proxémie chez un enseignant de langues en lycée professionnel

Abstract : The objective of this chapter is to understand the logic behind the proxemic behaviour of a French-Spanish teacher in a vocational high school. To facilitate the joint analysis of verbal interactions and proxemics, we rely on a videographic corpus of didactic interactions transcribed and annotated using ELAN software, The quantitative and qualitative analysis made it possible to highlight the effect of the context on the organization of the teacher's movements and to show that his proxemics, including his movements from one place to another, is both an integral component of his professorial practice, at the service of the implementation of his teaching activities and a form of territorialization of the classroom space, as well as the student's development.
