De la CAO à la photogrammétrie : 30 ans d’exploration des nouveaux usages de la 3D pour les SHS

Abstract : After a brief review of the pioneering use of CAD, in partnership with industrials, in the purpose of the study of the archaeological heritage, the author reminds a few fundamentals about the use of 3D models towards heritage and their usefulness in scientific production. The different ways of building a 3D model with regards to heritage are categorized and the scientific interests are identified. This publication raises these questions and emphasises the significance of identifying what contributes to increase knowledges and/or their promotion.
