Les restitutions 3D du prieuré Saint-Cosme (La Riche–Indre-et-Loire). La modélisation d’un ensemble complexe à plusieurs phases chronologiques

The priory Saint-Cosme, near Tours (France, Indre-et-Loire), is a patrimonial and tourist site especially known as having been one of favorite stays of the poet Ronsard, who is buried there. Property of the Departmental Council of Indre-et-Loire, the latter wished to upgrade it by restoring all its chronological thickness. For that purpose, a vast archaeological excavation was realized in 2009-2010, which allowed to accumulate the materials of a 3D restoration. The peculiarities of this one are connected with the working mode with the archaeologists, in parallel with the study post-search and not after the completion of this one. The modelling of the whole priory, and not only the church, is also an important parameter. The complexity of this operation is increased by the fact that it was chosen to realize this modelling in three different chronological phases. This communication discusses mainly relationships between the archaeologists and the modeler, and the constraints and the limits of the operation.

Le prieuré Saint-Cosme, près de Tours, est un site patrimonial et touristique surtout connu comme ayant été un des séjours préférés du poète Ronsard, qui y est enterré. Propriété du Conseil général d’Indre-et-Loire, ce dernier a souhaité le remettre en valeur en lui redonnant toute son épaisseur chronologique. Pour cela, une vaste fouille archéologique a été réalisée en 2009-2010, qui a permis d’accumuler les matériaux d’une restitution 3D. Les particularités de celle-ci sont liées au mode de travail avec les archéologues, en parallèle avec l’étude post-fouille et non après l’achèvement de celle-ci. La modélisation du prieuré entier, et pas seulement l’église, est aussi un paramètre important. La complexité de cette entreprise est accrue par le fait qu’il a été choisi de réaliser cette modélisation à trois phases chronologiques distinctes. Cette communication discute principalement des rapports entre les archéologues et le modeleur, et les contraintes et limites de l’entreprise.
