Du projet à l'en-projet, des représentations au récit : chronique d'un projet ouvert

Abstract : What form(s) does the project take when, what matters, is first and foremost, the sharing of the project process? When this process is entirely led by its future users? When, at its origin and for years, it does not benefit from any fundings, does not respond to any orders, does not attach itself to any fixed temporal or organizational frameworks, does not translate into any programs, and exists only in the imagination of a group of people? What form(s) does the project take when it finally wins over the support of the inhabitants, becomes the laureate of a process of participatory democracy and receives substantial fundings? We will reflect on these questions by unfolding the chronicle of an ongoing project, named Le Lîeu, which we have been following for three years as part of an ethnographic survey. On a more theoretical level, this will underpin the notion of in-project and question the substitution of the role of representations by the formulation of a narrative.
