Approche interdisciplinaire-physiologique, psychologique et de traitement du signal-du stress induit au sein d'une interface de résolution de problèmes

Abstract : Stress is equivalent to a cognitive process in which a subject estimates and takes into account his environment threats and challenges. Hence, it is not only a stimulus nor a response but can be induced from the learning process (visual and sound interferences) and from the interface employed (temporal pressure and feedbacks). Our study aims at analyzing the psycho-physiological effects of an induced stress associated to a cognitive load. For this purpose, the subjects are led to do tasks in which they have to solve problems, combined or not with different stress levels. Psychological tests are used to quantify anxiety and cognitive load levels. Analysis of cardiac signals (RR intervals) provides us with parameters from a time-domain analysis, power indicators based on a spectral analysis and regularity indices. Combining psychological, physiological and statistical analysis makes it possible to differentiate stress from a simple cognitive task.
