The Experimental Cartography Workshop, open to researchers coming from various scientific disciplines (geography, sociology, environmental psychology, anthropology, ethnography, design, art, architecture, town planning, etc.) proposes to "dive into the map", to work on the cartographic intention by appropriating and playing around the cartographic codes. On the basis of a proposal (Identity map [card], sensitive walk and visual restitution...), the participants are invited to create their own representations of the territory [the world]. Our proposal pretends to be an introduction to the original approach experienced during intensive three-day work in a short format (half a day, three hours min.). Two different kinds of instructions can be implemented : the creation of an "Identity map" , in order to project oneself into the map on the basis of our own history and life itineraries ; the visual restitution of a "sensitive walk" (working solo or as a group).

L'Atelier de cartographie expérimentale, ouvert à toutes disciplines (géographie, sociologie, psychologie environnementale, anthropologie, ethnographie, design, art, architecture, urbanisme, etc.) propose de « plonger dans la carte », de travailler sur l'intention cartographique en s'appropriant et jouant avec les codes cartographiques. Sur la base de propositions initiales, les participant.e.s sont invité.e.s à créer leurs représentations du territoire, du monde. Il s'agira ici de décliner dans un format court (une demi-journée et au minimum trois heures) la démarche proposée lors de workshops qui se déroulent généralement sur trois jours. Deux types de consignes sont susceptibles d'être expérimentés : l'établissement d'une « carte d'identité » (« Identity map » en anglais) qui invite à se projeter dans la carte sur la base de son histoire, parcours et itinéraires personnels ; la restitution graphique individuelle ou co-construite d'une balade « sensible ».
