HDSML PRINCIPLES

Henri Delebecque

Résumé

The increasing diversity of the various types of media used by authors to present their content is making the work of content authors, graphic designers and webmasters more and more complex. In this paper, we propose an XML application for content authors, to help them structure their hypertext documents in factorizing their common structures into classes, and to free them from all other design considerations. They design both structural models (classes), and presentation models for each sort of media (using HTML, WML). Using these models, our HDSML engine automatically builds the projection function able to transform any existing document into, for example, well-formed web pages.
