Supplementary Information to the PLoS Computational Biology 2018 paper "Limits on reliable information flows through stochastic populations". Here we provide a mathematical proof for the main result in the aforementioned paper: a linear lower bound on the time needed to broadcast a piece of information in a stochastic population using noisy communication.
