Translittératie et redocumentarisation : le projet MemoRekall

Abstract : MemoRekall is a web application which allows commenting a video by annotating it and by linking it with external documents or web pages. This process of redocumentarization leads the reader of the video document to appropriate it, by operating two steps: inter-documentary and intra-documentary. Otherwise, MemoRekall intends to deal with the specific way of reading audiovisual documents: the video recordings of performances is often considered as the single trace of it. Further to the first experiments of MemoRekall, the application has been reorientated by teachers on purposes of media & information literacy. From various experiments led with pupils and students from the middle school to the university, we propose a model of a documentary approach in the field of media & information literacy based on the analysis of a video document. This approach allows developing user skills in terms of digital transliteracy.
