Résumé

Analog decoding will be a serious challenger to digital decoding when an analogue circuit will not require a huge area for a frame length of many hundred bits and will not be dedicated to a single frame length. To solve these two problems, a mixed decoder was proposed by M\"orz. But the use of AD/DA converters limits the data throughput and the benefits of the continuous exchange of extrinsic information are lost. We propose a fully analogue solution: a semi-iterative slice turbo decoder. The properties of the slice turbo codes are used to reduce the on-chip area without totally breaking the continuous exchange of extrinsic information. Thus, the decoder area is divided by ten when compared to conventionnal analogue counterparts. Moreover this solution has no strong throughput bottleneck and is reconfigurable to treat all the frame lengths of a standard with a unique analogue circuit.
