Le tombeau de la contrada Faraone à Locres : une documentation inédite pour l’étude des naiskoi de Grande Grèce

Abstract : In 1913, Paolo Orsi discovered in the Locrian countryside (Calabria) an architectural fragment belonging to a funeral naiskos from the fourth century: in a monolithic block were notably carved a pediment, part of the roof and four molded housings. Its comprehensive study offers the possibility for a reliable restitution, rarely possible given the rest of the archaeological documentation, and to address this type of buildings from a historical and sociological perspective.
