A corpus for identification of speakers and their emotions

Abstract : This paper deals with a new corpus, called corpus IDV for " Institut De la Vision " , collected within the framework of the project ROMEO (Cap Digital French national project founded by FUI6). The aim of the project is to construct a robot assistant for dependent person (blind, elderly person). Two of the robot functionalities are speaker identification and emotion detection. In order to train our detection system, we have collected a corpus with blind and half-blind person from 23 to 79 years old in situations close to the final application of the robot assistant. This paper explains how the corpus has been collected and shows first results on speaker identification.
