Abstract : We consider the modeling of archaeological objects in 3D, with a complete open source solution. Our goal is two-fold : develop modeling methods for the archeologist and open a new technological way. That new enterprise is complex and require that we identify both software and data formats capable of ensuring work perennity. Finally we open new perspectives to exploit 3D models in museums and in research collaborations.
