Abstract : The studies conducted at the Université de Caen, as part of the “Plan of Rome” aim to create theoretical models of edifices and districts of Rome of the 4th century A.D. in order to examine the scientific research in more detail. From the outset, our work has partly focused on the political, commercial and religious centre of the Roman capital: the Roman Forum or Forum Romanum.
