The rebuilding of Protestant temples between 1790 and 1905 in the south of Aquitaine testifies to the progressive reintegration within civil space of a religious community which had been excluded from it for over a century. It also shows the existence of a collective and spatial vision of an active minority which affirms its identity by creating a territory that rivalled that of the Catholic Church and by its institutionnal reconstruction.
