Electromagnetic field modeling in HTS composite tapes in the frequency domain
Résumé
In this work, we propose a numerical model for a rapid computation of the electromagnetic field in multifilamentary composite HTS tapes carrying sinusoidal AC currents or submitted to external sinusoidal time varying magnetic fields. The proposed model is based on an integrodifferential formulation in terms of the electric vector potential and allows taking into account the nonlinearity of the constitutive law, relating the electrical current density to the electrical field, in the frequency domain rather than in the time domain as it is commonly done. Only the active parts are discretized; the multiscale dimensions are thus easily treated.
