A mixed and multiscale domain decomposition approach for transient dynamic analysis

Abstract : The aim of the present work is to develop an efficient strategy for the simulation of dynamic problems with multiple contacts. The approach is based on the multiscale LATIN method with domain decomposition. This iterative computational strategy is suitable for parallel computing on PCs cluster. It allows to compute problems with a large number of degrees of freedom. This strategy has already been applied successfully to a variety of static problems; here, it is extended to dynamics.
