Playing Integrated Music Knowledges with Artifical Neural Networks

Abstract : This text presents some aspects of the Neuro-muse 1 project developed at CIRM. We will present some experiences in using self-organizing maps (SOM) 2 to generate meaningful musical sequences, in real-time interfaces, with MaxMSP and Jitter 3 .
