2.3 mu Tm3+: YLF mode-locked laser

Abstract : A passively mode-locked Tm: YLF laser emitting at 2.3 mu m is reported for the first time, to the best of our knowledge. The continuous-wave stable mode-locking operation is obtained with a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror at a repetition rate of 100 MHz. The average output power is 165 mW for a pulse duration of 94 ps. (C) 2017 Optical Society of America
