Le rôle moteur des transports dans le développement en période post-conflit. Les « pays du Niari » en République du Congo.

Abstract : This article (written in 2010) presents modalities and stakes of post-conflict reconstruction about infrastructures of transport in South Congo. We attend tensions between State’s strategies on constructions of infrastructures, strongly symbolical and politicized, and the economic players’ strategies, in particular foreign companies but also local populations. The “RN1” (mainroad) example is symptomatic of issues that arise in Congo : situation oscillates between instrumentation of transport by the power and the beginning of a country planning policy via regional integration. Hopes are high, State has to prove from now on that it durably chose this second option to guarantee peace and development.
