Novel phaseless measurement inversion strategy for low-cost microwave imaging setup

Résumé

A novel methodology for the reconstruction of the profile and constitutive parameters of unknown Objects-Under-Test (OUTs) using amplitude-only measurements is presented. A cost function quantifying the mismatch between the amplitude of the measured electric field and the field scattered by a model of the OUT is minimized through the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) in order to retrieve the parameterization coefficients of the OUT profile and its conductivity and permittivity. A simple and low-cost setup for phaseless measurements has been developed in order to experimentally validate the proposed methodology towards the inversion of dielectric objects.
