Dependencies in enterprise networks and its influence on a focal company's global strategy: a theoretical analysis

Résumé

Ensuring the best operation of the network is a complex task. To succeed in this mission, the focal company must be able to manage and assess the risks that may be encountered during the collaboration. It must consider its abilities, constraints and dependencies at the early stages of the project to minimise all risks. The study of the dependency relationships between the focal company and its partners is an important step to avoid possible conflicts and malfunctions that may occur during the operational phase of product realisation. The research discussed in this paper shows firstly, the importance of enterprise networks, and then analyses dependencies between partners in order to understand the behaviour of the focal company and its global strategy.
