Stabilisation of power converters with uncertain equilibrium: An adaptive switched approach with guarantee of stability in continuous and discontinuous conduction modes

Résumé

In this paper, we consider a class of switched affine systems encountered in many applications and in particular in DC-DC power converters. We propose a switched and adaptive control design methodology with a global asymptotic stability property. The proposed control strategy is based on a joint observer and parameter estimation. As an application, we focus in this paper on the case of Flyback converters and the main contribution is to prove that this switched and adaptive control strategy provides a stability guarantee in both continuous and discontinuous conduction modes.
