Rapid access to reactive methanimines by the retro-ene reaction: The photoelectron spectrum of N-dimethylsilylmethanimine
Résumé
Two reactive methanimines, the parent compound H2C=NH and N-dimethylsilylmethanimine, have been conveniently generated by the retro-ene reaction of easily accessible allylic and propargylic precursors. The structure of N-dimethylsilylmethanimine has been established by coupling flash vacuum thermolysis with photoelectron spectroscopy. © CNRS-Gauthier-Villars.
