An interpretation of interpolative reasoning by means of measures of comparison

Abstract : The classical interpolative reasoning has been previously extended to handle an incomplete rule base with imprecise description of variables. This extension has been done due to the assumption of gradual variations of the variables, by using a fuzzy analogical approach. In this paper, we interpret the model of analogical interpolative reasoning from the point of view of measures of comparison and generalize the interpolation method proposed by Bouchon-Meunier et al. (2000).
