Abstract : In this paper, we are interested in the study of the discrete formulations of the Total Variation (TV) based on "upwind scheme" that have been proposed for imaging problems in a local setting in [2] and in a non local setting for graphs and point-clouds in [7]. More precisely, we focus on two new symmetric formulations using the l∞ and the l2 norms respectively and propose a dedicated optimization algorithm with a study of its properties.
