Flavour tagging algorithms and performance at the ATLAS experiment

The identification of jets containing b-hadrons (b-tagging) is a fundamental ingredient in the physics program of the ATLAS experiment at the CERN LHC. This note presents the main btagging algorithms employed for the 2016 LHC run and is intended to update the procedure used for the 2015 run.
