Defining the Right Frontier in Multi-Party Dialogue

Abstract : We develop a Right Frontier Constraint (RFC) for multi-party dialogue (“multilogue”), after arguing that extant definitions of the RFC, and in particular that of SDRT, cannot be directly extended to multilogue. Our proposal is developed and tested on a corpus of chats from an online version of the game The Settlers of Catan.
