A long-term tree-ring chronology over 796 years for silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) in southern France

Abstract : A 796 years master chronology (1214-2009) has been built with tree rings of silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) recorded from timber used in buildings as well as living trees of southeastern France. This master chronology is freely available for further projects, like historical dating, paleoecology studies and climate reconstruction.
