Les programmes d’intervention contre la cyberviolence et le cyberharcèlement : quels moyens, quelle efficacité ?

Abstract : Since research on the prevalence of cyberviolence and cyberbullying has showed evidence they were a genuine issue in the life of the young people, some intervention programmes have been designed and implemented. Some of these interventions have been scientifically evaluated. This paper presents a synthesis of these evaluations and hightlights the fact that if some programmes are effective in increasing the knowledge on risks related to the Internet, behaviours do not change significantly. Moreover it shows that some of the characteristics that were evaluated as being effective in reducing violence or school dropout are also part of the ones with a positive impact in reducing cyberviolence. It seems necessary to carry on evaluating the effectiveness of interventions to develop and improve evidence-based interventions.
