High gain observer for a class of nonlinear systems with sampled measurements: Application to a Free-Piston Stirling Engine

Résumé

The design of observer for a class of state affine nonlinear systems with discrete time measurements is considered in this paper. A high gain observer is constructed, based on a Lyapunov approach, which allow to obtain comprehensive and insightful conditions for the convergence. The algorithm is applied to a Free-Piston Stirling Engine and validated with simulations.
