La patrimonialisation numérique des mémoires de l’immigration maghrébine en France dans les années 2000

Abstract : During the 2000s, a number of Web archiving projects were developing, while the Web itself was used as a tool and space of heritagization of minority memories. Drawing upon the case of the North African immigration memories in France, this article explores the history of assimilation of publishing tools by the History of Immigration Museum (MHI, Paris) as well as the Generique (Paris), Ancrages (Marseille) and Anonymal (Aix-en-Provence) associations to create patrimonial devices online. To this aim, the Web archives collected by the National Audiovisual Institute (INA) and the French National Library (BNF) are new sources that the historian can use to study the digital ‘construction’ of the past, but they also represent a methodological challenge. We show that the MHI, Generiques, Ancrages, and Anonymal, through their use of the Web, renew the staging of the past by producing patrimonial devices, but at the same time, they also contribute to the scattering of these memories on the Net.
