Présenter au lieu de représenter Une alternative à la question de l'incarnation sur scène? 1

Abstract : Through the work of Robyn Orlin, an artist from South Africa, who raises the question of the norm by presenting bodies, figures and types that are often absent from european scenes, we will explore in this article the question of the incarnation on stage. We will develop a reflection around a new paradigm that is increasingly becoming a reality on the contemporary scene: presenting in place of representing. We will consider the actor, means the person in act on stage, as the provocative presence of the human in place of the incarnation of a character. In this way, we will ask ourselves the following question: how can this new paradigm, that is, the provocative presence of the human instead of the incarnation, the presentation in place of representation, open to a new way of thinking, to see and use the actor on stage? How can it allow the creation of new imaginaries, whether in the production of stage works or in the reception of the spectator?
