Errors produced during dictation writing in French learners of Chinese

According to Selinker (1972), the concept of "interlanguage" describes a language variety that forms when learning a target language. The purpose of 'intersinography' is the study of the acquisition process of Chinese writing by non-Chinese speaking students. This study focuses on simplified modern Chinese writing. In this paper I mainly intend to show that one can find: 1) a typology of errors common to all learners ; 2) some individual mistakes was fossilized. The corpus is based on a heterogeneous audience: undergraduate students, high school students or middle school students from various European countries. Based on the papers of exams from 2002 to 2012 at the University of Aix-Marseille, we also performed 63 tests in 2013. Each production was scanned; in addition, a number of learners with different profiles were filmed. We finally established a list of erroneous in graphic productions of French learners which includes 7 major types and 26 sub-types. We discovered that writing in the target language has graphological characteristics influenced by the style of the first writing of the learner. Some individual errors are repeated at different levels of learning and fossilized. Research on intersinography is still in its infancy. A better understanding of the intersinography could contribute to a better understanding of the cognitive processes used for writing in any other script.
