Amélioration de la cartographie des ambiances sonores urbaines

Abstract : Beyond the legal public participation, urban noise presented in the Noise Prevention Plan is based on a top-down approach (linear process) without a real integration of the needs and preferences of end users. Moreover, little research focused on noise mapping as an efficient communication tool. This contribution focuses on noise mapping by taking into account the perception of various users. As part of a circular process, a survey was conducted among 57 volunteers aiming at the construction of a participatory representation of soundscapes. The goal of this paper is to propose recommendations for mapping urban noise that integrate the perceptions of readers.
