ELAIS - preliminary ISOPHOT results

ELAIS (PI M. Rowan Robinson) is a 15 deg^2 survey with ISO at 15 and 90 microns. The project groups 19 European institutions and is supported by one of the EC TMR Networks awarded in Astronomy.. The different goals addressed in this survey lie from the epoch of galaxy formation to Ultra IR galaxies and new classes of Galactic and Extra galactic objects. Results from the test raster, gives some hints on the possibilities to use ISOPHOT for galaxies detections and analysis. This contribution is rather turned on the technical aspects of the study, and the very first ISOPHOT results of this survey.
