The urban fabric is made of objects resulting from identifiable production processes. Once these processes are well defined, it is possible to map the corresponding objects according to the moment of their production. Such mapping has been carried out for the old center of Lyons thanks to major archival research. This shows the complex geomorphology of a fully historicized urban space. Dating has been possible for the creation of the buildings, streets and squares and public spaces, as well as for the perimeters of development or redevelopment schemes. Other objects can also be analyzed in the same way such as plot limits, façade surfaces and street paving and surfacing. However, as information was too difficult to obtain, this has not been done here. The article ends by determining three distinct temporalities: superfical, atructural an persistent.
